French Classic Cooking Class: Summer Series

Saturday, July 18, 10am-12pm

Learn the culinary tricks of the trade at your favorite French bistro, Mon Ami Gabi. On Saturday, July 18, class will be in session as Executive Chef Bruce Williams presents a three course how-to menu of signature summer dishes, including Smoked Ham & Gruyère Tartine with mustard and watermelon radish, Grilled Chicken and Asparagus Salad with romaine and grana padano and Strawberries Briand for dessert. Bringing your appetite is a must, as attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy each course paired with French wines. To top things off, all guests will receive a recipe booklet to recreate menu items – and show off their culinary skills – at home.  The class is priced at $55 per guest (gratuity not included). Space is limited; please call 630-472-1900 to reserve.

On Tuesday, July 28, join Mon Ami Gabi for an evening that celebrates some of the finer things in life: food, art, and wine. This will surely be a night to remember as guests will be taken on a culinary and artistic journey through a French Masters Wine Dinner featuring “Edgar Degas and the Spectacle of 19th-Century Paris.” The evening will begin at 6:00pm with a welcome reception, followed by a delectable five-course dinner paired with signature French wines and a slide presentation by one of the Art Institute of Chicago’s supreme lecturers. The event cost is $75 per guest + tax (gratuity not included).
