2008 "FRENCH MASTERS" DINNER SERIES Mon Ami Gabi $65 per person, plus tax and gratuity per dinner Back by popular demand, we have teamed up with the Art Institute of Chicago to host a brand new 2008 series of French Masters dinners. The series offers diners a unique opportunity to learn about the most famous and beloved French artists. The evenings include a wine reception, a slide illustrated presentation by an Art Institute of Chicago lecturer and a multi-course French feast created by Executive Chef Larry Tio. LITTLE FRITES FRENCH MASTERS - THE ART OF FOOD Saturday, May 10, 11 a.m. Little Frites aged 5 or older are invited to explore the world of food and art through an interactive discussion led by the Art Institute of Chicago's Family Programs staff. Images of food from the Art Institute's collection and a few favorite picture books will explore color, form, and arrangements seen in still life. Kids will examine the work of Joseph Cornell whose wondrous boxes are filled with unusual arrangements of found objects and then they will create their own Collection Box where they can store special treasures. Ratatouille, frites, warm cheese sandwiches and profiteroles will be served for lunch. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
